About Me
Party Entertainment Tips

I have six children, so as you can imagine, I host my fair share of children's birthday parties! One thing I have learned is that no children's party is complete without good entertainment. I have hired clowns, magicians, and dance troupes to entertain my children during their parties, and they are always eager to see what I have in store for them as each of their birthdays arrive. I love party planning so much that I also help my friends and family plan all of their parties and helped my sister plan her wedding. I have learned a lot of great tips for entertaining children and party planning that I am very eager to share with everyone on my new blog!

Beach Equipment That Can Provide a Source of Shade

Visiting a beach with your family or a group of friends gives everyone a chance to enjoy some sun, but it's ideal to have at least one source of shade that your group can use. Those who have a fair complexion may want to limit their exposure to direct sunlight, while others may simply wish to keep cool during these hot conditions. When you plan your beach escape, look for a beach equipment rental company that operates near your destination. It carries a wide range of inventory that you'll find useful on the beach, including several different sources of shade. Here are some options to consider.

Beach Umbrella

A beach umbrella is one of the simplest ways to get some shade at the beach. These umbrellas are known for their large diameter and take only a few seconds to open. As you find your spot on the beach, you can quickly open one or more umbrellas to immediately provide a source of shade for anyone in your group who wants it. It's common to poke the post of the umbrella deep into the sand so that the umbrella stands upright. As the sun begins to set, you can remove the umbrella from the sand and lay it on its side to block the sun.

Beach Awning

Another option to consider renting for your beach visit is a beach awning. These devices come in a few different styles, and while they take a little longer than an umbrella to set up, they can provide a good source of shade for your group. Awnings have open sides and are typically square or rectangular with a post at each corner. You'll either push the posts into the sand or, if the posts have flat plates on their feet, set the feet on top of the sand and use spikes to hold the feet down.

Beach Tent

Another device that you can rent to provide a source of shade at the beach is a beach tent. These tents are unlike conventional camping tents because they aren't typically fully enclosed. Instead, they often have a roof and three walls. You position the beach tent so that the opening faces the water, which will allow you to watch your children swim while you relax in the shade. Beach tents are available for rental in several sizes, so you shouldn't have trouble finding one that can accommodate the size of your group.
